Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Hess, of Colby, Wisconsin, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elaine Beryl, of Evanston, Ill., to Rogert A. Stewart, of Hope, Arkansas.
Miss Hess attended grade school at Greenwood, and graduated with the class of ’42, of Woodstock Community high school.

Marriage Announced
Beautiful in its simplicity was the wedding Thursday, July 31st at 4 o’clock when Miss Elaine Beryl Hess, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hess of Colby Wisconsin, became the bride of Charles C. Stuart, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Stuart of Washington, Arkansas.
The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Frederick Smith at the home of the brides parents in Colby. The bride wore a copen blue suit with white accessories and her corsage was of gardenias.
Miss Marian Hess, sister of the bride was maid of honor and she wore a covert cloth suit with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.
Mr. Charles Allmann of Colby, Wisconsin was best man.
The bride is a graduate of Evanston College, Evanston, Illinois and attended Perdue University. Mr. Stuart is a student at Draughan Business School in Little Rock, Arkansas where the couple will make their home.

Greenwood — Frank S. Hess, 64, Willard, died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hill Funeral Home at Greenwood. The Rev. Carl Boohr, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning Sunday afternoon.
Frank S. Hess was born at Grant Park, Ill., April 26, 1904, and was married at Pontiac, Ill., May 10, 1925 to Hilda Bahler. After their marriage the couple lived at Libertyville, Ill. They came to Willard in April of 1966.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Elaine) Stuart, Dallas, Texas; Miss Bonnie Jean Hess, at home; Mrs. Rudy (Marion) Kairis, Santa Paula, Calif.; Mrs. Sol (Barbara) Teitelbaum, Anaheim, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six sisters, Mrs. Lee (Shirley) Stewart, Jackson, Miss.; Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Turner, Mrs. Emmitt (Inez) Stock, and Mrs. Robert (Bulah) White, all of Woodstock, Ill.; Mrs. Clifford (Beatrice) Peterson, Harvard, Ill.; and Mrs. Erwin (Carol) Beckwith, Greenbush. N.Y.

Hilda Hess
Greenwood—Hilda Bertha Hess, 88, Anaheim, Calif., formerly of the Marshfield area, died Wednesday.
Graveside services are pending. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born June 16, 1904, in Medford, to Gottfried and Anna Baehler. She attended schools in Medford. She was married to Frank Hess in April 1925, and he died in December 1968.
She lived in the Willard area from 1966-77 and in the Marshfield area from 1977-81. She then moved to California. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Marshfield.
Survivors include four daughters, Elaine Stuart of Texas, Marion Kairis of Arizona and Bonnie Hess and Barbara Teitelbaum, both of Anaheim; two brothers, Walter Baehler of Montana and William Baehler of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
