Harold Clemans Sr.
Medford—Services for Harold P. Clemans Sr., 85, town of Medford, who died at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford.
The Rev. Stephen Rohloff will officiate. Burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born June 28, 1906, in Waukesha County, to Luther and Edna L. (Himebauck) Clemans. He attended Waukesha County schools.
He married Lydia Baehler April 4, 1928, in Medford. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in April.
He moved to Taylor County in 1924 and was employed on area farms and as a cook at the Ideal Cafe. He also owned and operated a trucking company during World War II and delivered fuel products for the Farmers Union. He later worked for Peterson & Sons and Mueller Bros. Trucking. He was employed as a mechanic by Handel Motor Co. from 1951 until retiring in 1968. After retirement, he drove school bus on a part-time basis and did some auto mechanic work. He had been admitted to the hospital earlier in the day Tuesday.
He is survived by his wife who resides in the Long Term Care Unit at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County; two sons, Harold Jr. of Wauwatosa and William G. of Greendale; one brother, Frank of Hartford; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hanson of Hartford; six grandchildren; and six great-grandsons.
He was predeceased by one brother and one grandson, John, who died in 1967.

Lydia Clemans
Medford—Lydia Edna Clemans, 86, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Nursing Home of Taylor County, Medford, where she had resided for the past five years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, with the Rev. Stephen Rohloff officiating. Burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1905, in the town of Browning, Taylor County, to the late Gottfried and Anna (Wyss) Baehler. She attended school in the town of Browning. She was married to Harold P. Clemans Sr. April 4, 1928, in Medford, and he died Sept. 17, 1991.
She was a member of Community United Church of Christ, Medford, and a past member of G.U.G. Germania.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Jr. of Wauwatosa and William of Greendale; two brothers, Walter Baehler of Great Falls, Mont., and William Baehler of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Hess of Anaheim, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Herman, Art and Elmer, two sisters, Laura and Clara, and one grandson, John, in 1967.
